Celebrating 2 Years of Social Value, across the UK!

I’m not going to lie, it’s been a tough, first two years, but as we approach this pivotal year, being the 8th Year Anniversary of the Grenfell tragedy, I am humbled to celebrate today (03.04.25) being our 2nd Anniversary, as we continue to (God willing) stay true to our purpose and our mission. We are grateful to the CIC Regulator for permitting us to trade (since 03.04.23) and deliver our ‘social’ value-based offer, publicly defined below:

 

The company’s activities will provide benefit to ...

 

“The construction industry is at a crossroads in a post-Grenfell world. The new Building Safety Act [BSA2022] will come into force from 3rd April 2023 with a view to giving both residents of public [and/or privately] owned built assets the opportunity to have a greater say in the administration of their homes.

 

Having supported the work of the National Digital Twin Programme and the curation of the Digital Twin Toolkit, concluding with the production of the Gemini Papers [at the University of Cambridge via the Centre for Digital Built Britain], the company will carry on its activities in relation to the legal requirement for asset owners to comply with the new [BSA2022] legislation and principally for the benefit of the BAME [Black Asian and Minority Ethnic] communities, seek to address the common and day-to-day challenges experienced by all Young People. The Digital Twin Skills Academy CIC or ‘DTSA programme' is a place based, social value offer, specifically designed to inform, inspire and equip young people [aged 16-25yrs] offering them a dedicated career pathway into digital construction, with a focus on digital twins. The offer is inclusive and will also attract the more mature [50+] cohort, with their lived-experience, along with anyone who seeks a change in career.” _ Dr Bola Abisogun OBE [March 2023]

 

 

 

Here are just some of ‘key milestones’ achieved during the last 12months, and we hope that you will come and join our effort to ‘engage, educate, empower and equip’ Young People aged 16-25 & and Career Changers alike, to embark upon a journey into Digital Construction; our highlights include:

 




 

We had an amazing response to our recent invitation to present our Business Case at the US Embassy in London _ March 2025

 






Received fantastic support and senior (Board) level commitment from the Digital Twin Hub, which will initially focus on the launch our ‘very’ first MicroCredential an Introduction to Digital Construction using Digital Twins _ February 2025

 

 


Recognition of our work, and direction of travel, as received from the Prime Minister’s Office, Downing Street, in London _ February 2025

 

 




Celebrated (after three years, commencing in April 2022), as part of a Senior Leadership Taskforce of 15 leaders, drawn from across the sector, the launch of the Skyline Skills Hub with the City of London Corporation _ December 2024

 




 

Attended the Annual CIOB Lecture by Dame Judith Hackitt on Building Safety, and gained valuable recognition of our work in the Building Safety space _ November 2024

 






Commenced with (Phase 1) of our very first ‘Social Value Digital Twin’ #Gateway3 project, in West London _ November 2024

 

 




 

Invited to present ‘our 5D / Social Value’ Digital Twin solution at the 2nd Annual Digital Twin Summit, London _ October 2024

 




 

Re-elected to the Board of the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry, at their 142nd AGM _ September 2024

 

 




 

Re-elected to the commence second term as an England Nation Council Member at the CITB _ August 2024

 

 



 

Invited to speak and participate in a panel discussion regarding our intentional focus on ‘equip’ the installer with the requisite digital skills to successfully deliver a #Gateway3 solution, on site, using Digital Twins _ June 2024

 

 




 

We welcomes the appointment (and Board approval) of our new Deputy CEO NessaA Primus who brings over two decades of public sector leadership and a proficiency of ‘person-centric’ engagement with Young People June 2024

 




 


Achieved the coveted OCN London endorsement to deliver ‘Digital Construction’ across the UK and overseas _ June 2024

 





Engaged and supported by the CITB to progress a new ‘Building Safety Act’ campaign across social media channels through a conversation with Adrian Beckingham, Strategy & Corporate Performance Director, CITB _ May 2024

 






Received industry recognition via a pan London initiative called ‘Moving On Up’ for our pro-bono contribution and leadership during the last decade _ March 2024

 






God willing, we look forward to the next 12months where will be forging some amazing new partnerships and delivering even more amazing #EdTech products and services, to empower local people and create genuine career opportunities as we create value for clients and project owners, across the country (and overseas too)!
